The Department of Radiodiagnosis at the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing advanced diagnostic imaging services. Spread across both the first and second campuses of CNCI, the department is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by highly skilled professionals, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning for patients.

Facilities

The department boasts modern infrastructure with advanced imaging modalities, including MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, digital mammography, and X-ray. These facilities ensure comprehensive diagnostic capabilities for a wide range of conditions. The department offers a wide range of diagnostic services, including:

Oncologic Imaging: Specialized imaging for cancer detection, staging, and monitoring treatment response.

Interventional Radiology: Minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and vascular interventions performed under imaging guidance.

​​​​​​​Emergency Radiology: Providing rapid imaging services for emergency cases, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment.

Clinical & Academic Activities

The Department provides Academic inputs for all the Post Graduate Courses regarding the various disciplines in the Institute.

The Department is also running a 02 Year Diploma course for training radiographers under West Bengal State Medical Faculty for more than 15 years.

It is also due to start accredited Post Graduate Courses in Radiodiagnosis in the coming sessions.
